KARMA, the answer to 'Why Me'?

Meditation & Teaching w/ Kelsang Dorje

Tuesdays, 7:00-9:00pm (May 6 - June 10)
Fee: $10.00

Our mind is like a field, and performing actions is like sowing seeds
in that field. Positive actions sow the seeds of future happiness and
negative actions sow the seeds of future suffering. Knowing this we
can use all our misfortune as opportunities to recognize the spiritual
lessons in all of our experiences. Consequently, our spiritual practice
will deepen, our mind will become more peaceful, and our life will
become meaningful.

Everyone welcome.
No pre-registration reguired. Drop-in to any class.

NEW! STOP THE WEEK

love for others, which will enable us to enjoy deep and meaningful
relationships. Teaching and guided meditation begins at 6:30 followed
by a social hour to enjoy friends, community, and snacks.

Everyone welcome.
No pre-registration reguired. Drop-in to any class.

with Kadampa Teacher, Susan Dearing

Without first developing inner peace, world peace will remain
impossible to achieve. We all have within us the potential for
peace and happiness. Classes include guided meditations and prayers.
Fee: $5.00

Foundation Study Program:
Mondays, 5:30-9:00pm
The Foundation Program provides an opportunity to deepen our
understanding and experience of Buddhism through a systematic
study of five texts. We now will be starting a new text
'Eight Steps to Happiness' at our Providence center.

Note: You need to register for this study program. If you would
like more information, please contact us so we can arrange for you
to come to an introductory class.

CHANTED PRAYERS - HEART JEWEL PUJA
We generally have prayers on: Tuesdays at 5:30pm, Wednesdays at 7:30AM
and Thursdays at 7:00pm - please check calendar below for specific dates/times.
A puja is a chanted prayer to a specific Buddha, requesting that Buddha to bestow his or her blessings upon us. Pujas vary in length from one hour to three and a half. All pujas are in English and are open to everyone. Even if you are just curious and would care only to listen and observe, feel free to drop by. See below for more details.

Heart Jewel is the Guru yoga of Je Tsongkhapa combined with the condensed sadhana of his Dharma Protector, Dorje Shugdän. These two practices are the very essence of the New Kadampa Tradition of Mahayana Buddhism. If we practise them regularly and sincerely, we will reap a rich harvest of pure Dharma realizations, and eventually come to experience the supreme joy of full enlightenment. The practice takes approximately 45 minutes.
